Waze Helps Drivers Avoid Event Traffic

Information technology does so by providing a system that will "outsmart result-related traffic and meliorate communicate road information with attendees and the broader community."

Waze is launching the program with 20 partners across North America, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia, including E15 and its five professional sports team partners: the Atlanta Falcons (Georgia Dome), Washington Redskins (FedEx Field), Detroit Lions (Ford Field), Washington Nationals (Nationals Park), and Atlanta Hawks (Phillips Loonshit).

The Stone 'northward' Roll Marathon Series has as well signed on to improve the traffic and parking situation at its 30 global events, including those held in New York, Montreal, Mexico Metropolis, and Madrid.

"Waze volition provide partners with custom access to its traffic management technology and communications channels in exchange for partners' advanced and real-time road closure and traffic information," the company wrote in a blogpost.

For those attending an event, this should "alleviate the frustration of navigating around marathon closures or getting stuck in game-day traffic," Waze added. Attendees will likewise become better communication near route closures, changes, and real-time traffic delays.
